Get a Free Medical Consultation Before You Pay for Treatment Abroad

Published date:

Considering surgery abroad can raise plenty of questions. Is the treatment right for you? What will recovery involve? What happens if something goes wrong?

MMG’s free preliminary medical consultation gives you an opportunity to discuss these concerns with your chosen hospital before making your initial payment.

You do not need new diagnostic tests to begin. An existing surgeon’s letter, NHS clinic report or previous diagnostic results—even if they are out of date—can help the doctor understand your circumstances and offer a preliminary opinion.

How It Works

  1. Visit the MMG platform and choose your treatment.
  2. Compare providers and select your preferred hospital.
  3. Open the Treatment Package and accept your Patient Treatment Contract.
  4. This automatically triggers the hospital to contact you.
  5. Speak to your assigned MMG Customer Care Manager at the hospital, who will explain how to submit your existing letters and diagnostic results for preliminary medical review and arrange your consultation.

All of these steps take place before you make your initial payment. Accepting the contract starts the hospital contact process; you do not need to pay to access the preliminary consultation.

Get Answers Before Taking the Next Step

Use the consultation to explain your symptoms, discuss previous medical advice and understand your options.

Ask about the proposed treatment, its risks, recovery and the support available if complications arise. You can also discuss discharge documentation, communication with your NHS clinicians and care arrangements after returning to the UK. Any NHS involvement should be clarified rather than assumed.

The preliminary review does not constitute formal clinical acceptance. If you wish to proceed, go back to your Account Page and make the Initial Payment. This will taek you straight onto your diagnostics.

Support to Make an Informed Decision

Your Customer Care Manager will guide you through the process, helping you understand what information to provide and what happens next. The purpose is simple: to help you obtain a medical opinion and clear answers before committing financially to treatment abroad.
