My Medical Gateway (MMG) is delighted to welcome Siân Covey as Head of Corporate Communications & Media Relations, bringing more than 18 years of communications expertise to our healthcare marketplace.
Siân joins with a background across financial services, technology and consultancy, combining strategic judgement, established media relationships and the ability to make complex subjects clear, relevant and compelling. Her appointment strengthens MMG’s commitment to informed communication as we help UK patients explore affordable, consultant-led elective treatment at established European private hospitals.
Her career includes communications roles at Brewin Dolphin and RBC Wealth Management Europe, where she helped shape corporate narratives, raise the profiles of senior leaders and manage communications through growth, organisational change and acquisitions. She has also held senior agency roles supporting technology and fintech businesses, giving her experience of explaining innovative propositions and building confidence in emerging markets.
A graduate of the University of Liverpool in Modern History and English, Siân brings expertise in media strategy, reputation management, thought leadership and advising senior executives. Her relationships span national, business, consumer and broadcast media, providing a strong foundation for engaging journalists with information, credible commentary and stories that matter to their audiences.
At MMG, Siân will lead our corporate communications and media relations, helping explain how the platform works, the choices available to patients and the standards underpinning our hospital network. She will work with our leadership, hospital partners and specialists to develop coverage of patient access, private healthcare and medical travel.
She will also collaborate with MMG’s External Partnerships team, including Sir James Bucknall, Chairman of MMG’s Veteran’s Initiative, to develop relationships with charitable, sporting, veterans’ and self-employed organisations. This work will support third-party endorsements and partnerships that connect MMG with communities for whom long waits and restricted mobility can have serious personal and financial consequences.
Working alongside our marketing and social media colleagues, Siân will ensure that research, announcements and partner stories reach the right audiences through coordinated communications.
